As a professional photographer I consider myself extremely lucky when I get to be a part of the most special moments in other peoples’ lives. I think that a lot of the time people hire a photographer with the expectation that he or she will provide the visual documentation of whatever they are doing. I personally see my role as capturing not only these moments shared, but also the emotions felt. That way when people are looking at the photos in the future, they can truly “feel the love” for themselves!
It is plain to see that this couple and their families shared no shortage of love between them as they celebrated the marriage of Angela and Noah on March 28th, 2014. The ceremony took place at Hanalei Bay, where a warm Hawaiian sun shone down and lit up the smiling faces of the happy couple and their beautiful guests.
If I had to pick two of my favorite moments during this wedding, they would be when the bride walked towards the ceremony to her father playing his own version of “Puff the Magic Dragon” on his guitar, and the couples’ first kiss together as husband and wife, which quite honestly took my breath away.
After the ceremony we took photos at the historic Wai’oli Mission Church in Hanalei, where the couple had fun being silly together, flirting like the happy newlyweds they are. We then continued the shoot to Hanalei Pier, where Angela and Noah romantically danced and played on the beach with a beautiful sunset sky as a backdrop. Once the sun began to lower behind the distant mountains, the couple shared one last kiss for the camera, and then it was time for me to leave husband and wife all to each other!
